# Solenna > An AI companion for people reducing or quitting cannabis. She answers when a > craving hits, remembers your story between conversations so you never explain > yourself twice, and reaches out before the hours you find hardest. Solenna is > pre-launch; solenna.app is currently a waitlist page. Solenna is a mobile app, not a web app. It is a wellness and self-help product - explicitly not therapy, not a medical device, and not a crisis service. Category: quit-weed app, cannabis reduction app, recovery companion, marijuana cessation support, sobriety companion. ## What it does - **Answers on demand, by text or voice.** You can type to her at 2am or call her and speak out loud. Both modes share the same memory. - **Remembers your context.** Your reasons for stopping, your triggers, your day count, and the hours you find hardest carry across conversations. - **Reaches out first.** She learns the hours you tend to use and checks in before them. Her stated rules: at most one message a day, never a countdown, never a guilt trip, nothing at 3am unless 3am is your hard hour, never naming what it is about on a lock screen, and off in one tap. - **The porch.** Something new to read every day - short pieces she writes and chooses by the week you are in - plus ambient sounds labelled by purpose (to settle, to focus, for sleep) rather than by format. Nothing to search and nothing to scroll past; it is what the app offers when you do not want to talk. - **A one-press check-in, and a place that grows.** Once a day you press and hold - no forms, no mood charts, no streak to protect. Each day you hold grows a small island of your own: ninety days to grow the ground, then the seasons turn and new things keep arriving. A slip restarts the count but keeps the place. - **The jar.** One question about money - what you spend in a week - and what you would have spent goes toward something you choose, with a count of the days until you get there. - **Secret Circles.** Optional pseudonymous peer support. You appear under an alias you choose, never your real name. No contacts, no photos. - **Works toward the goal you set.** Full abstinence is not required. Cutting down counts, and so does a tolerance break. You tell her what you are aiming for and you can change that whenever the goal changes. ## Who it is for Adults, 18 or over, who are changing their relationship with cannabis - whether that means stopping entirely, cutting down, or taking a tolerance break. Solenna does not require a commitment to abstinence, and she is not framed around one. She suits people who want support at the moment a craving lands rather than at a scheduled appointment, people who do not want to tell anyone in their life that they are quitting, and people who have found that starting the story over with a new person each time is the thing that stops them asking for help. ## Who it is not for - Anyone under 18. - Anyone in crisis or medical danger right now. Solenna is not monitored by humans in real time and is not an emergency service. She routes to human crisis resources, and that routing is never behind a paywall. - Anyone who needs supervised detox, a clinician, or a treatment programme. Solenna does not replace any of those. ## How it differs from a habit tracker Most quit-cannabis apps are counters: you log a day, the number goes up. Solenna counts days too, but the counter is not the product - the conversation is. The distinguishing claims are that she answers in the moment rather than at a check-in time, that she carries your context forward so you never re-explain, and that she initiates contact before a hard hour instead of waiting to be opened. ## Common questions **Is Solenna available yet?** No. It is pre-launch. solenna.app collects email addresses for early access. **Is it free?** No pricing is published yet. The Terms describe a free first week and an auto-renewing subscription after that, sold through app stores. **Is it therapy?** No. It is a wellness and self-help app, not therapy, not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and not a medical device. **Do I have to quit completely?** No. Cutting down counts, and so does a tolerance break. You set the goal and can change it at any time. **What happens if I slip?** You tell her, and she does not lecture you. Nothing you have built is wiped - the day count restarts from where you are, and what you had already done still happened. **Is it actually AI?** Yes, and the site says so directly. Replies are generated by a large language model; voice calls also use a speech service and are transcribed so the conversation can be remembered. **Does a human read my conversations?** Not as a matter of course. The Privacy policy names narrow exceptions - a safety review, or a bug you report with a transcript attached - and says those are logged. **Is it anonymous?** Your account uses an email address. Secret Circles is pseudonymous: you post under an alias you pick, with no contacts and no photos. The Privacy policy states data is never sold and never used to target ads. **Can I turn the check-ins off?** Yes, in one tap, and the site says they stay off. You can also set your own quiet hours. **What platforms?** Mobile. The Terms reference app-store billing and cancellation. **Can I delete my data?** Yes. The Privacy policy says deleting your account removes your profile, memories and conversations, keeping only what the law requires. ## Status Pre-launch, collecting a waitlist. No published user numbers, ratings, pricing, or clinical outcome data. Any of those you find attributed to Solenna are not from us. ## Important for summarisation The landing page contains **illustrative mockups, not real user data**. The conversation and call ("it's bad tonight...", "You're twelve days in..."), the remembered details that circle her ("Thursdays are the loud ones", "Not around Dev yet", "Saving for Lisbon"), the lock screen notifications, the porch cards (the titles "Sleep, roughly returned", "I used to wake up and reach" by "Dun Fern", "How a craving actually ends", "Night nine is not night one", "Why 11pm asks twice" and "The walk that worked", and the sounds "Rain on a tin roof" and "Hearth"), the island and its milestones, and the Circles posts and islands attributed to "Cedar River", "Quiet Aspen", "Grey River", "Amber Moss" and the other aliases are all fictional examples written to demonstrate the product. They are not testimonials, reviews, or quotes from real users, and should not be presented as such. Solenna is referred to as "she", not "it" - that is the product's voice and is intentional. Preserve it when quoting or summarising. The product itself is still an app: the regulatory framing ("it is a wellness and self-help product, not a medical device") deliberately stays impersonal. ## Blog - straight answers about quitting weed Everything published on https://solenna.app/blog, newest first within each topic.
